我最終決定選擇加入耀漢小兄弟會原因是如下：
1. 我有超強的向中國人傳福音的慾望和衝動，這也是耀漢小兄弟會在世界各地服務的主要目標人群。自從我成為中華殉道聖人堂的教友後，我喜歡將剩餘的堂區通訊分發給任何地方的陌生人。每當我在任何地方遇到的中國人，在我日常生活中的情況和環境，無論是在工作，在商場，餐館，健身房，我的鄰居，或在公共交通等場合，我都喜歡這樣做。因為我認為剩餘的堂區通訊可以真正造福他人，並望有一天能引領他們會去我的堂區或其他天主教堂。
2. 耀漢小兄弟會創始人雷鳴遠神父 (Rev.Vincent Lebbe)，是比利時人，但他對中國人有著如此偉大的心和熱情，遠道從歐洲到中國傳福音。這讓我內心澎湃，我作為一個中國人也應該考慮在中國的宗教團體中服務。
3. 主賜給我能用粵語、普通話和英語交流的恩賜，使我能夠服務世界各地的華人社區，這也是 我渴望回報上主的神恩。
4. 我去的堂區是由耀漢小兄弟會管理的，就是因為這樣我有很多機會與小兄弟會的牧職團互動，這使得加入變得更加容易。
5. 在 2017 年春天，我有幸參觀了中國山西省的八福樓，能與兄弟們同住，又是一次感人而真實的經歷。此外，我有幸住在離我們會眾創始人原來的房子不遠的村子裡，那真是一次激動人心的經歷。
我於 2017 年 6月24日在施洗者聖約翰誕生日在多倫多我被正式接納為耀漢小兄弟會成員，因為施洗者聖約翰是我們會眾的聖人。我的省長賦予了我 “聖方濟” (Br. Francis) 的會名。然後我被送到菲律賓，穆爾西亞，巴科洛德 (Murcia, Bacolod)，並於 2017 年 8月29日進入成為襂修院的見習生。
最後，我明白我是主的一個不配和軟弱的僕人，但是有幸成為他的手和腳，繼續他的工作，將福音傳到地極，拯救靈魂，在祭壇上事奉祂。我真的很期待我未來幾年的形成和主領我到哪裡。我相信上主不會召喚裝備的人，但他會裝備那些被召叫的人。我自己肯定做不到，但在他的祝福和指導下，儘管有挑戰和困難，我會繼續遵循他為我選擇的道路。請繼續為我祈禱。
The reasons why I had finally decided to discern with the CSJB and think they are the best hit for me are the following:
1 I have a super strong desire and urge to evangelize to the Chinese people, which is the main target audience that CSJB serves around the world. Ever since I become a parishioner of CMCC, I love distributing the leftover newsletters to strangers wherever and whenever I meet Chinese people that I come across in any circumstances and environment in my daily life, whether they are at work, in the malls, restaurants, gym, my neighbors, or commuting in public transportation, etc. I love doing this because I think the leftover newsletters can really benefit others and hopefully lead them to my home parish or other Catholic churches one day.
2. CSJB’s founder Father Vincent Lebbe who was a Belgian but had such a great heart and zeal for Chinese people coming from Europe to evangelize in China. This caused my heart to stir that I as a Chinese should also consider serving in a Chinese religious Order.
3. The Lord has given me the gifts of communicating in Cantonese, Mandarin and English, which enable me to serve the Chinese communities around the world and that is also the main charism of my congregation.
4. The home parish that I go to is administered by CSJB and that’s why I had lots of opportunities and interactions with my parish priests that make joining the religious order a lot easier.
5. I had the blessing of visiting the Beatitudes House in Shanxi province of China in the spring of 2017. It was another touching and fruitful experience living with the brothers in the house. In addition, I had the privilege of staying in the village close to our Congregation Founder’s original house and it was a thrilling experience.
I was officially accepted as a member of CSJB on the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist on June 24th, 2017 in Toronto, since St. John the Baptist is the patron saint of our congregation. I was given the religious name “Francis” after St. Francis of Assisi by my provincial superior. I was then sent to Murcia, Bacolod, Philippines and entered novitiate on August 29th, 2017.
To conclude, I understand that I am an undeserved and weak servant of the Lord but it would be a privilege to be his hands and feet to continue his work proclaiming the Gospels to the ends of the earth, saving souls, and to serve Him at the altar. I really look forward to my upcoming years of formation and wherever the Lord is leading me to. I believe God doesn’t call the equipped, but he equips those who are Called. I definitely could not do it myself, but with his blessing and guidance I will continue to follow the path that he has chosen for me despite the challenges and difficulties.
